Radiative hyperthermia is a clinically applied cancer treatment modality where antenna design crucial to achieving therapeutic goals. Serving as the building block of phased-array configuration, antennas are typically arranged in cylindrical or elliptical array called applicator. This short communication proposes an phased applicator based on compact, UWB from category double-ridged horn customized for systems. The performance antenna, named open ridged-waveguide, has been experimentally assessed quality metrics hyperthermic community. proposed achieves ultra-wideband range operation 400 800 MHz with aperture size 3 by 4 cm. Moreover, thanks shielding provided metallic housing, proves good isolation better than −30 dB throughout band. power deposition capability followed thermal analysis also investigated realistic head and neck patient model. results indicate very achieved planning patient.
